About Manali

A Himalayan resort town in the Kullu Valley, known for snow-capped views, cedar forests, adventure sports and cafés.

Manali sits in the upper Beas valley, surrounded by pine and deodar forests and high peaks. It is a favourite with families, couples and groups, and it works well as a base for both relaxed sightseeing and adventure.

The town mixes busy markets and cafés with quiet villages such as Old Manali and Vashisht. In winter the surrounding mountains turn white, and in summer the valleys are green and cool.
